Why downloading beats a screenshot
The original file, not your screen
A screenshot captures your display, interface and all, at your phone's resolution. The downloader fetches the largest version of the picture Instagram stores, normally 1080 pixels wide, with nothing cropped and nothing drawn on top.
Whole carousels in one go
Paste the post's link once and every photo appears as a numbered tile. Tap the ones you want; saved tiles are marked so you keep your place in a long carousel. Videos inside the same post are offered as MP4.
What stays off-limits
Profile pictures, 24-hour Stories and anything from a private account need a login, and Yocker never asks for one. Highlights, the stories an account keeps on its profile, are public and do work. If a site offers the rest in exchange for your Instagram password, leave.

What size are the downloaded photos?+
The largest size Instagram stores for that post, exactly as it was uploaded. We don't resize, compress or watermark it.
Can I download every photo in a carousel?+
Yes. Yocker lists each photo and video in the post, in order, each with its own download button.
Can I download profile pictures, Stories or photos from private accounts?+
No. Those need a login, and Yocker never asks for one. Only public photo posts are supported.

Can I download private videos?+
No. Yocker only works with public posts that anyone can view without logging in. We never ask for your password or account details.
Do you store the videos or photos I download?+
No. The file is streamed from the platform's servers straight to your device. We don't keep copies of anything or a history of what you download.
Where is the file saved?+
In your browser's default download location — usually the Downloads folder. On iPhone, open the Files app and look in Downloads, then save it to Photos if you like.
Why did a video open in a new page instead of downloading?+
Very large files (over about 400 MB) aren't passed through our server; they open straight from the platform instead. Use your browser's menu (⋮ or long-press the video) and choose Download or Save video.
Is it legal to download videos and photos?+
Only download content that you own, or that you have the creator's permission to save. Respect copyright and each platform's terms. Yocker is meant for personal, lawful use — for example backing up your own content.
