Every resolution, with its size
X stores each video in several sizes. They are all listed, largest first, with the file size next to each, so you can choose a small file for forwarding or the full 1080p for keeping.
GIFs are really MP4s
X converts uploaded GIFs into short looping videos, so a GIF downloads as an MP4. It plays everywhere and is far smaller than a real GIF file would be.
Photos at original resolution
Posts with images give you each photo at the size it was uploaded, which is often much larger than what the app displays. Links starting with x.com and twitter.com both work.

Where is the file saved?+
In your browser's default download location — usually the Downloads folder. On iPhone, open the Files app and look in Downloads, then save it to Photos if you like.
Why did a video open in a new page instead of downloading?+
Very large files (over about 400 MB) aren't passed through our server; they open straight from the platform instead. Use your browser's menu (⋮ or long-press the video) and choose Download or Save video.
Is it legal to download videos and photos?+
Only download content that you own, or that you have the creator's permission to save. Respect copyright and each platform's terms. Yocker is meant for personal, lawful use — for example backing up your own content.
